Doing Hard Things Better ALL YEAR ROUND

From skill development to college recruiting, Elevate supports players every step of the way.


Summer:
Skill Building & Player Development

During the summer, we offer twice-weekly training from June-July.
  • Season Duration: June 1 - July 31 

  • Format: Mondays: Skill sessions, Wednesdays: Scrimmaging and gameplay

  • Location: VCU’s Cary Street Field 

  • Times: Mondays and Wednesdays 6 - 8 pm

  • Age Groups: U10 - U19

Goalkeepers, we are pleased to offer you consistent position-specific weekly training. 

  • Season Duration: June 1 - July 31 

  • Location: VCU’s Cary Street Field 

  • Times: Wednesdays 5 - 6 pm

  • Age Groups: U10 - U19

RISE Summer Training

​Elevate Field Hockey Club will be continuing our RISE program for beginner players (U18, U10, U12, U14) in the summer of 2026.

  • Dates: Thursdays (June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th)

  • Thursdays (July 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th) 

  • Location: River City Sportsplex Field 8 

  • Times: 6 - 7:30 pm

Fall:
Skill Building & Player Development

Our goal is to continue to provide high level instruction and a consistent experience that develops your player's technical, tactical, and mental skills. 

Season Structure

  • Practices - 3 times per week, primarily on Astro (VCU) or at River City

  • Games - minimum 8 games 

  • Tournaments - 2 Saturday tournaments in VA Beach 

  • Coaches - Julie Martelli will serve as head coach, other amazing coaches to be added! 

  • Team minimum: 14 field players, 1 GK

Incentives

  • Players who elect to play the fall with us will receive priority registration for Shooting Star Thanksgiving (pending we get in). 

  • Rising eighth graders who play in the fall will receive a $100 discount off their season fee.

Winter:
Compete. Improve. Elevate.

In the winter, Elevate fields competitive indoor teams from U12 to U19, running from December through February.

After tryouts, players participate in:

  • Two practices per week

  • Three developmental tournaments

  • National-level opportunities, including:

    • U14 teams: National Indoor Tournament (NIT)

    • U16 & U19 teams: NIT Qualifiers for a chance to compete at NIT

Our RISE indoor program is a developmental U10 team that practices once a week and plays in two local tournaments — a great intro to competitive play.

Our spring season (March-June) features competitive teams from U14 to U19.

Tryouts take place in late February or early March, with:

  • Two practices per week

  • 1–2 developmental tournaments, including the Junior Premier Outdoor League (JPOL)

  • Regional Club Championships for U14, U16, and U19 teams — with the chance to qualify for the National Club Championship
     

Our developmental U10 & U12 teams train twice a week and compete in two local tournaments.
